The St. Croix Animal Welfare Center (AWC) promotes the humane treatment of animals in the St. Croix community through education, encouragement, & enforcement.

Take a look at some of our volunteer opportunities:

Our staff and the animals in our care depend on volunteer support. Please consider giving of your time and energy to St. Croix's homeless animals. You'll be working for a customer who never complains and gives unconditional love in return.

If you would like to donate your time to the St. Croix Animal Welfare Center, fill out the New Adult Volunteer Application.

For more information about volunteer opportunities, please email SCAWC staff.

Animal Care Volunteer

Help us care for our puppies, cats, kittens and dogs by volunteering to help exercise animals or groom animals. By working with friendly adults on a regular basis our animals learn behavior and socialization skills that make them more adoptable.

Humane Education Volunteers

Assist with presentations or train to give presentations to school children on topics such as pet care, anti cruelty and responsible pet ownership.

Adoption Docent

Aid us in educating visitors about our adoptions policies and helping them choose a homeless animal to adopt.

Flea Market Volunteer

Put your fashion merchandising skills to use on behalf of the animals. Help us with sorting charitable donations, store organization, displays and merchandising.
Special Events Volunteer

Extra help with special events is always welcome. See our News/Events page for a list of upcoming events and contact us to see how you can help.
