through humane educational outreach in our community.
Youth Intern Program
AWC operates an after school, weekend and summer youth program for teens. Students fulfill school mandated community service requirements and gain vital on-the-job experience in addition to learning about responsible pet ownership and breaking the cycle of generational neglect.
Adult Programs
Educational outreach is conducted on the adult level in the form of various community outreach events. Adult staff works to educate the local community about Territory leash laws, dog licensing requirements, the mandated anti-cruelty act and the pet overpopulation problem on St. Croix.
